First edition. Hardcover. Small quarto. A little wear and minor soiling of covers, otherwise very good in pictorial boards as issued. An informative and well-told story (aimed at the juvenile market) of the Australian radio-astronomer Bowen (one of the foremost figures behind the development of radar in WWII), largely responsible for the building of the Parkes telescope. Illustrated in colour by Charles Bullich.
