Der zweite Teil, verfasst von Rudolf Högger, bietet einen kulturgeschichtlichen Überblick und zeigt, dass die Ursprünge der tibetischen Glückszeichen älter sind als der Buddhismus und auf verschiedenen Kontinenten verwurzelt sind. Das Rad, als Symbol des dharma, spiegelt eine umfassende kosmische Ordnung wider, die in der Lehre Buddhas zum Ausdruck kommt. Solche historischen Zusammenhänge verdeutlichen die Verbindungen zwischen Religionen und ermöglichen einen interreligiösen sowie interkulturellen Dialog.
