Soft cover. Condition: Good. Softcover. Used, good condition, foxing. Sale number 1. Important Oriental Rugs and Tapestries. April 23, May 7, 1972, 40 pages, 30 illus., 16 in color. A very short-lived New York auction house, selling 122 rugs over a two day period. The illustrations are Caucasian: 18, Turkish: 3; Persian: 4, Chinese: 1 and 1 Flemish Tapestry and one Cairene. The large number of Caucasian rugs is probably what got the auction house to get a quote from Ulrich Schurmann: "This is no doubt one of the most important of rare and brilliant pieces to be sold at auction. " None of the rugs are dated; the Caucasian rugs look to be a mixture of early 20th and late 19th century ones. Book.

The color looks good for the red rugs, the blue rugs look off. Paperback. Used, good condition. $15. Book.

Soft cover. Condition: Fair. Two copies, one from 1931 and the other from 1935. Both are moisture damaged (colors running onto opposite pages) with small pulled off areas on 1935 copy. Spines are both partialy torn. 1931 is 53 pages and 1935 is 56 pages. Great illustrations.

Matching formats, slick 10.5x7.5 inch high-gloss alkaline covers and paperstock throughout about equally divided between b&w and color exhibit photography; unpaginated but substantial paperbound fastenings anywhere from forty to ninety pages. Three of the cats have, laid in, lists of both estimated prices and prices fetched, with perhaps another leaf or two (forthcoming sales, added lots, absentee bid forms), but '85 cat has the 'fetched' but not 'estimate.' Good clean copies (no handwriting that we see) with a bit of edgewear and mild bumping of corners.
