Soft cover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. A fine/near fine card cover copy with a very good dustcover. The book is probably fine but I've rated it as near fine for some very small page end scuffs and tiny dot stains also on the page ends. Both hardly noticeable. The dustcover has some very…minor shelf ware on the spine. A very impressive copy overall. Please see photos.

"Sales/posting to the USA suspended". Folio card covers with dust wrapper, xvi/239pp, b&w photos. Light wear on card/dw edges, previous owner's name top right of title page; a very good copy. This is a modern re-issue of the classic 1933 text by Edgar Rule. Contains new introduction, nominal roll, decorations and awards and many… new photographs. Tells of the experiences of the 14th Battalion A.I.F at both Gallipoli and France. Albert Jacka enlisted on 18 September 1914 as a private in the 14th Battalion. He was the first member of the Australian Infantry Forces to be awarded a Victoria Cross in the First World War. He was awarded his VC at Gallipoli, the Military Cross at Pozieres and a bar to the MC at Bullecourt. In this edition, however, the editors have, where possible, restored the original identities.
