Carl Runge und sein Wissenschaftliches Werk. By Iris Runge and published in Gottingen by Vandenhoeck and Ruprecht. 1949. 214 pp. 9.75" x 6.5". Hardcover. In fair condition, with light scuffing and paint marks to exterior. Loss of dust jacket, if issued. Staining to top corner of front board. Some cracking and starting to front higne, with text block otherwise bound well. Light markings. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A scarce piece by German mathematician and physicist Iris Runge (1888-1966) on the life and work of her father, German mathematician, physician, and spectroscopist Carl Runge (1856-1927).
