Holcomb from cousin J.H. Holcomb 1863"). Title page detached but present, rest of text tightly bound. Heavy soiling, chipping, and wrinkling to text block, some scattered foxing. All text remains readable. Contents include chapters on vocal sound and pitch, accent and cadence, ranting, guttural emphasis, pause and monotony, intonation of interrogative sentences, and melody of speech.

Tight sound copy with the main flaw being the spine which has a half inch heavy chip out of the top of the spine, wear and tearing to the middle and bottom edge of the spine. but the gold gilt title lettering is clean and intact. Bit of wear to the books corners and Previous owners name on the first page in, Otherwise a Tight sound unmarked copy in Good to Very Good condition. Interior text block is tight and sound and unmarked except for a bit of foxing to the interior pages. Slight indenting to a few of the back pages. Would be a nice candidate for a rebinding. No Signature.
