Contains two full-page sketches of a horse and its anatomy, as well as the publisher's original advertisements at the rear of the book.An extensive catalogue of diseases in horses, cows, dogs and sheep, and how to treat them using the latest scientific methods, the editors stress the importance of being observant of an animal's health and to apply rigorous practices in order to treat them. They also emphasises proper and effective care, as opposed to more brutal and simple methods used by many at the time. In half dark red morocco, half dark red cloth. Externally, mostly smart, with the odd mark to the boards and spine. Sings of edgewear and rubbing to morocco joints and extremities. Bumping to the head and tail of the spine, and to the extremities. The odd small mark to green end papers. Signs of wear to hinge of front end papers. Internally, firmly bound, with slight wear to hinge between pp.256-257. Pages are bright and clean, with minor age toning, and the odd spot to the extremities of the rare leaf.
