This is the incredible adventure story of George Rushby, elephant poacher turned Game Warden in then Tanganyika who during the course of his life became a serious hunter of tuskers. He was also responsible for wiping out a pride of man eating lions of Njombe, that killed and ate hundreds of natives which was made into a film by the BBC. There is a tale of hunting a man eating leopard here too, as well as Rushby s lifelong friendship with the legendary African hunter James Sutherland. A limited edition of 775 copies, of which this is #148, signed by the publisher. Hard cover, illustrated (see images) 205 pages with the original dust jacket with light hipping on top of the spine with little loss.
