This etching is from "Picturesque Antiquities of Ipswich" published in 1845 by F Pawsey, Old Butter Market, Ipswich. The title of the book states that it was "A selection from the remains of Ancient Edifices existing in that town. The plates were drawn and etched by Frederick Russel and Walter Hagreen and accompanied by Antiquarian and Architectural Descriptions by John Woddespoon. The print is on thin India paper pasted onto thick wove paper, a technique popular for the period since it permitted fine engraved detail but with sturdy plates. The ancient corner post which is a feature of this print still is in place in Ipswich, at the corner of what is now known as Oak House, a fine 16th century building.

The songs are written by several distinguished authorsâ"including George F. Root and B. R. Hanbyâ"and are comprised of hymns, spirituals, and patriotic songs. This book was written at a time when many music books used in schools were strictly religious in nature. Students and teachers alike found these books to be dull and uninspiring. The author sought to correct this by including a wide range of songs in this book that could be used for both sacred and secular purposes. The inclusion of these recreational songs makes the book unique for its time and demonstrates the author's forward-thinking approach to music education. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.

The first victim is found murdered with a bloodless hole puncturing a tattoo image of an ancient sandal. The secondvictim ends up missing, with nothing but a single shoe left behind. Obviously, authorities are stumped. It all comes back to altruistic billionaire Henry Wainwright, who wishes to use hiswealth and knowledge to improve the world. To do so, he has deployed an army of divinely possessed Virtue Warriors. He has founded the Society for Human Virtues, intended to erase the world of ignorance and self- destruction, one dead body at a time. But what really happens to each victim In the center of this mess is Frenchman Maury Levet, employed by Wainwright for purposes as yet unknown. As time passes, Levet's suspicions increase. He notices Wainwright wears a golden medallion, and something about the piece of jewelry makes Levet uncomfortable. He doesn't trust Wainwright-which is why he is dismissed. When Wainwright goes missing, however, Levet experiences a supernatural transformation that brings great power. Now, Levet might fulfi ll the ultimate destiny of Wainwright's Society . or he might disappear, too, leaving nothing behind but a shoe.
