So wurde in der Tat bewiesen, daß die Arme des westdeutschen Imperialismus zu kurz sind, die DDR und damit den Sozialismus auf deutschem Boden zu beseitigen. Durch unser Kampfbündnis mit der UdSSR endet die Macht des deutschen Imperialismus an der Grenze der DDR. An der Seite der Sowjetunion wurden wir Sieger der Geschichte. Unsere Freundschaft zur UdSSR ist älter als die DDR. Die Entwicklung dieser Freundschaft war ein langer und komplizierter Prozeß. Den Grundstein dazu legten die deutsche Arbeiterklasse und ihre revolutionäre Partei. Auch von bürgerlichen Demokraten und Humanisten in Deutschland wurde diese Idee der Freundschaft begeistert aufgegriffen und verbreitet. Die Grundlage unseres Bündnisses mit der UdSSR wurzelt in der jahrzehntelangen traditionellen Kampfgemeinschaft revolutionärer Arbeiter Deutschlands und Rußlands. Der gemeinsame Kampf deutscher und russischer Klassenbrüder gegen den ersten Weltkrieg, gegen den Raubfrieden von Brest-Litowsk, gegen die Interventen und während des Green Vaterländischen Krieges hat einen unlösbaren Klassenbund geschlossen.
