From the Library of George Granville Leveson-Gower (1758-1833), 2nd Marquess of Stafford & 1st Duke of Sutherland with his bookplate on the inside front board and coat of arms stamped in blind on the front board. The contemporary initials G D in the upper right corner of the title page could be a member of the Duke of Devonshire. Later bookplate of George Clarence Johnson on the inside front blank. Lacks the 28 pages index to volume 1. Front hinge cracked and upper hinge split. Headband worn. Piece missing from bottom panel of the spine. Internally a fresh clean copy. Not listed in Brunet.
