Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. The first UK edition of two novellas by renowned American author J. D. Salinger in the original dust wrapper. These two wonderful novellas first appeared in The New Yorker in 1955 an 1957. The stories focus on the two siblings of the Glass family, a frequent focus of Salinger's work. The original publisher's cloth binding is near mint. The unclipped dust wrapper has some staining on the front white cover; hence very good. A modern masterpiece about - according to the author - "A bunch of insufferably 'superior' little bastards that should have been drowned or gassed at birth.".
