Condition: Very good. First Edition. Small program; 5 x 3 1/2; pp. [4]; salmon-colored stock, printed in black and illustrated with an elaborate, engraved vignette to last page; faint vertical crease, else minor wear; in very good to near fine condition.Eastman Business College was founded in 1859 as a business school in Poughkeepsie, New York. It would become known for its novel for the times approach to teaching, where the students gained practical, rather than theoretical, experience by actually performing the duties that would be required of them in a real work environment, including a mock bank, a mock railway station, etc. Though very-successful in the late 1800s and early 1900s, the college would ultimately close down in 1931.
