Condition: Good. 0. Cm. 17, cc. (4) 59. Splendido marchio tipografico Estienne al frontespizio. Graziosa legatura settecentesca in piena pelle bruna con titoli e fregi impressi a secco al dorso e molteplici filetti dorati. Piatti inquadrati da singolo filetto in oro e tagli rossi. Annotazione di possesso di mano coeva al frontespizio. Trascurabili segni del tempo e piccolo forellino al margine interno bianco lontano dal testo. Esemplare nel complesso fresco e ben conservato. Abel de Sainte-Marthe (1566-1652), umanista parigino figlio maggiore di Scévole, fu Consigliere di Stato, avvocato di grande fama e in letteratura autore di poesie in lingua latina. L'edizione include diverse opere poetiche: Daphne, sive de Lauro liber I; Lex salica; Sylvarum liber I; Eclogae II; Carminum libri II; Sacra carmina. Rarissima edizione parigina stampata da Estienne, verosimilmente la seconda o comunque tra le più antiche dopo la prima del 1596. Non in Iccu. . . . . . . 0. . Book.
