Slight chipping to outer edge of FFEP.Samuel Hazard is known for having been the unanimously appointed editor and archivist for the Keystone State during its formative years. Known also for his work on the Pennsylvania Archives as well as the sixteen-volume Colonial Records, the Register of Pennsylvania was the first publication for which he was editor-in-chief. Although Hazards editorial services to state and nation were recognized by his contemporaries, he has too often remained a neglected subject of study within the context of his own time. The Register of Pennsylvania, a periodical which saw publication between 1828 and 1835, contained census information, statistics, as well as news items pertaining to the state. A historically valuable periodical, worth rebinding. Ships daily.
