Very good. RARE. FIRST SWEDISH EDITION of Cook's third voyage. Translated and abridged from the official account of Cook's third and final voyage. The translator was the Swedish naturalist and theologian, Samuel Lorentz Odmann (1750-1829). [Nat'l. Lib. of Australia]. The folding map at the back of the volume shows the area of the Bering Strait, Asia to the west, the Sandwich Islands to the south, and Nootka Sound on Vancouver Island (which is not shown as an island at all).
