In a change of pace from the Oz retellings, this novel by the author of "Wicked'' revisits the story of Cinderella, set in 17th-century Holland, as a "fable for adults.; ' Orig. published in hardcover in 1995, this is the First Trade Paperback Edition from 2000, in decorative wrappers with a die-cut front circle to show the witch in all her green wickedness underneath. Though the interior is completely clean, the inside of the front cover shows a large stain (not visible outside), & there is heavy tearing & scraping around the die-cut window on the front cover. Inside, binding is strong & straight, pages clean & unmarked save for a date in pen in first few pages & heavy page tanning. A perfectly decent reading copy!
