Condition: Fair. 1909. Second Edition. 963 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth with gilt lettering. Pen inscription to front free endpaper. Pages are mildly tanned throughout. Severe cracking to hinges and gutters causing boards and binding to be loose. However, boards & pages throughout remain attached. Text is clear. Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Visible crushing to spine. Gilt lettering has darkened. Minor splits causing fraying to cloth at spine ends.
