Page edges browned with some dark spotting. Trace of a price in pencil on the first page and there is slight spotting to the insides of the covers and the first and last pages. Original Cloth. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Sax (Sachs, Rudolph Michael) (illustrator). First Edition. This copy has been in some kind of lending library. There is a spine lean but otherwise only light edge wear to the boards. Light browning to the page edges with one small brown spot to the bottom edges. One inch patch of surface damage to both the front and rear pastedowns behind the jacket flaps. A patch of label residue at the top of the front free endpaper - this is three inches long and a little under a half inch wide. A large green number 6 has been stamped to the half-title page, the title page and the first page of the text. Number in pen to the reverse of the rear free endpaper. The pages are slightly browned but not worn and otherwise clean and unmarked. The jacket has been trimmed by perhaps a quarter of an inch to the flaps - the front flap is missing the very end of each line of the text and has a one inch crease to the top corner. The spine has some light fading and is chipped at the top and bottom where there is some loss. There is also some chipping to the corners with a few small nicks to the bottom edge, a one and a half inch closed tear at the bottom of the front panel and a small patch of browning to the bottom right rear corner where there is a small chip.
