In a Near Fine lemon-green dust jacket with light rubbing. Date & brief "Happy Father's Day" inscription at front endpaper else bright, snug & unmarked. First thus with Additions after the 1937 original.

1. großer Original-Kupferstich auf rückseitig unbedrucktem Karton, von alter Hand prächtig und in deckenden Aquarellfarben koloriert und gouachiert, bildliche Darstellung ca. 20,5 x 36,5 cm, Kartongröße ca. 23,5 x 38,5 cm, von alter Hand bis an den Plattenrand beschnitten, die Beschriftung unterhalb des Bildes abgeschnitten und auf die Rückseite des Kartons montiert, der Plattenrand um die bildliche Darstellung herum in schwarzer Deckfarbe tuschiert, im Himmel einige wenige blasse Stockfleckchen, ansonsten gut erhalten, sehr selten 2100 gr.

Condition: Very Good. First Edition. Southern part only. Paper measures 21 3/4 inches by 48 1/2 inches. Two maps joined together with three fold lines. Scarce.

This was published during the American Revolutionary War, at a time of heightened fear of invasion by America's allies the French.
