A presentation copy inscribed by Sayers on the front free endpaper: "Mrs. Asquith [Cynthia Asquith?] / With Compliments. / From The Author. / Mannington Sayers / Feb. 23rd 1921." A collection of legends retold for young readers. The author's only work of fiction. Not in Bleiler (1948; 1978), Day (1963), Reginald (1979; 1992) or Locke, Spectrum I-III. Cloth dusty and spotted, spine panel darkened, a sound, internally very good copy. Both OCLC and COPAC report a single copy, at the British Library. (#157175).
