Published by Samuel Colman, 141 Nassau Street. Scatcherd and Adams, Printers, 1838
Leather Binding. Condition: Good. No Jacket. 48mo - over 3" - 4" tall. A delightful near-miniature book (measuring 3.75 x 3 inches), dating from 1839. Illlustrated with woodcuts throughout. Bound in pubisher's black leather stamped in gilt and blind (spine chipped at top, some rubbing to spine and boards; some foxing and offsetting to text). Has an ink gift inscription, dated November 29th, 1838, to Mary Ellen Phelps of New York, from her Mother, Thanksgiving Day. Notes: B/w Illustrations.
