Historical Society name stamp and "withdrawn," beneath. Original typewritten paper title label to spine, ink call numbers on spine, a few incidental markings within. Never had a card pocket. Two plates are detached and laid in, edgewear to the binding, crease visible on the inside of the back cover. Interior hinges should be handled with care; some brittleness due to cheap production quality. The principle missionaries of which this book treats are the Revs. Frederick Ayer, Alonzo Barnard, Sela G. Wright, and Mr. David B. Spencer.
