This account of the German pre…parations for the attack was written by Maj Schramm, who was the official German war historian. It gives details of the planning, and the changes in plan, before the attack was launched to the surprise of all on December 16, 1944. It is of particular value in that is is apparently the only English language publication on the subject. Of great interest is the hands-on approach by Hitler.
