Schrassert was an advocate and court officer who worked in Arnheim and later in Harderwijk. A number of his opinions appear in collections by contemporary authors, such as Joost Schomaker and Martin van Lamzweerde. The five volumes that comprise the Consultatien contain 222 opinions. Some of these were collaborations with J.F.W. Pagenstecher, Schomaker and his father, Hendrik Schrassert.
