Oberpfarrer in Ronneburg, 1832 Repräsentant der Stadt Ronneburg für den neuorganisirten Landtag in Altenburg. Er wurde 1836 zum Geheimen Consistorialrath ernannt und ging als Ephorus in den Ruhestand. 1839 wurde er suspendiert, weil er zwei scharfe Flugschriften gegen das Altenburger Consistorialrescript u. gegen dessen Verfasser, den Gereralsuperintendent Hesekiel geschrieben hatte. Diese Suspendierung wurde 1840 wieder aufgehoben.
