Erste Ausgabe dieser für die Entwicklung der Photochemie, speziell der Farbphotographie, wichtigen Arbeiten. - Schultz-Sellack (1844-1879), Photochemiker aus Berlin, leistete mit der Entdeckung, dass durch die Beimengung von Farbstoffen die Empfindlichkeit von Silberhaloidsalzen für verschiedenfarbiges Licht stark beeinflusst werden kann, einen wichtigen Beitrag zur Beseitigung der Farbenblindheit bei Photoplatten. - Stempel auf Titel.
