Spine is darkened with bumping, and a small amount of loss to the upper spine. Light marks to the boards, with some darkening to the edges. The cloth at the front joint has torn, although the joint itself is still very firm. Foxing to the paste-downs and free endpapers. Ink inscription and bookseller's stamp to the front paste-down. Lacking the front free endpaper. Front hinge is strained but still firm. Internally binding strained. The plate on page 100 is loose but present.
