Manuscript / Paper Collectible
Concert program from the famous Semafor theater in Prague, which was founded in 1959. The somewhat psychedelic illustrations depict animals playing instruments, and on the front cover, a small Minnie Mouse is peeking from behind the cat-like creature. The appearance of the American icon, Minnie, is interesting in that the program was printed in Communist times, and shortly after the 1968 Prague Spring; seemingly, a jab at the establishment. 32x22cm, [4]pp. Illustrations. Printed on thick cardstock. Some toning and soiling, very good.
