Comintern's Executive Committee (1919-43) launched this magazine in 1919 with the initial series appearing during 1919-24. This issue is one of the New Series, technically speaking "Volume 2" (1924-26), with volumes numbered thereafter. This contains articles on China's labour movement (I. Heller), China's National Revolutionary Movement and tactics of the Chinese Communist Party; events in Persia covering Riza Khan, Arabistan, the Anglo-Persian Oil Company, and government crises in 1924 (Andrei Chervoni); Syria's independence struggle (P. Kitaigorodsky); universal Suffrage in Japan (Sen Katayama); the Japanese Proletarian Party (B. Vasiliev); international imperialism and the Communist Party of Indonesia (Semoan); and the labour movement in Turkey (P. Kitaigorodsky).
