(page de faux-titre, page de titre, épître, préface, table des matières), 371 p., (1) f. blanc. Pleine basane d'époque, dos à 5 nerfs portant titre doré sur pièce de cuir rouge, caissons ornés, tranches mouchetées de rouge. Cuir épidermé et marqué par endroits, mors supérieur fendillé (mors interne légèrement apparent), une mouillure dans le coin supérieur de quelques pages, reliure solide et volume en bon état malgré les défauts signalés. Edition originale.

In-12 22 feuillets non chiffrés (faux-titre, titre, épître dédicatoire, préface, table des matières) 371pp. Pleine basane havane marbrée, dos à nerfs orné de cadres de filets et pastilles dorés, pièce de titre grenat, tranches brique, reliure de l'époque. Mors du 1er plat fendillé en queue (environ 3cm). Bel exemplaire complet et frais à l'exception du défaut signalé. Caillet 10153. Quérard France Littéraire IX, 68. Brunet VI 8898. Pas dans Dorbon. Cet ouvrage sur les faux miracles et impostures diaboliques ou humaines est le plus célèbre parmi ceux composés par Jacques Serces, théologien Protestant né à Genève en 1695; aumônier de la chapelle Saint James de Londres, il mourut dans cette ville en 1762.
