In the 1970s Serette was a member and printer at the Sabbathday Lake Shaker community but left, publishing an apostate, anti- Shaker magazine that lampooned and critiqued the community and Shaker practices. GOOD+ condition. Toning to the covers. Light bumping and scuffing along the extremities. Faint crease/wrinkle to the first page.

The contents are the same as Cherubikon, but organized differently. Based on 17th Century woodcuts given to Serette by Fred Anthoensen (Southworth/Anthoensen Press). Seldom found with its original sleeve. A very handsome copy of this rather scarce volume. Upper tips gently bumped, else tight, bright and unmarred. Original folded sleeve shows light shelf/wear and soiling, else bright. Mustard yellow wraps, black ink lettering and decorative elements, printed endpages, frontispiece. Small 64mo. (1 5/8 x 1 15/16). 28pp. Illus. (color plates).
