Hardcover. Condition: Good Plus. No Jacket. London: Chapman and Hall Ltd, 1889. Book edited from the original manuscripts of Sergeant Marceau, member of the convention and administrator of police in the French revolution of 1789, edited by M C M Simpson. 396 pages in overall bright condition just a few occasional small foxing spots especially to first and last couple of pages. One colour plate and two B/w plates plus other smaller illustrations in the text, illustrations are not listed so I presume all are present. Small tears to paper of front endpaper at hinge but binding is sound, outer boards are a little worn on corners and edges, tiny bumps to corners and spine a little faded. Only date in book is 1889, possible first edition but cannot be sure. Though not perfect a still pleasing copy of an interesting book SEE IMAGE. DETAILED IMAGES AVAILABLE ON REQUEST. Boards. Good Plus/No Jacket. 8 ½ x 5¼ Inches. Hardcover.
