Book edited from the original manuscripts of Sergeant Marceau, member of the convention and administrator of police in the French revolution of 1789, edited by M C M Simpson. 396 pages in overall bright condition just a few occasional small foxing spots especially to first and last couple of pages.One colour plate and two B/w plates plus other smaller illustrations in the text, illustrations are not listed so I presume all are present. Small tears to paper of front endpaper at hinge but binding is sound, outer boards are a little worn on corners and edges, tiny bumps to corners and spine a little faded.
