All 3 volumes have slightly bumped spine tails, but no tearing or chips. Corners are square in Vol.1 and Vol. 2 and bumped in Vol. 3. Slip case is sturdy, but is faded, missing chips of green cloth, and has a 1 inch split in the joint of the rear panel. Contains stories of hunting and fishing in the countryside of Vermont. The slip case shows edge wear and there are six places on the edges where a small piece of the cover paper is missing. The title plate on the outside has small soil marks but is all present. Inside the books there is a note that there were 5,000 copies of this book printed at that time. Illustrations by Arthur D. Fuller (illustrator).
