Three-colour map (black, with blue water features and brown contour lines) printed directly on to linen 80x59cm (the notes to the lower margin indicate this was also available in paper and linen-backed formats). Good, folded with spotting and slight fraying, and "Anglo-Egyptian" in the title neatly redacted with a single line of faint red crayon. This sheet was drawn by Shikeira at the Survey Office in Khartoum from the triangulations by Pilkington, and route sketches. This shows part of Northern Kordofan District including Nuba, Zaghawa, and Darhamid, with the border with Eastern Kordofan District to the south. Very richly detailed, natural features include various types of vegetation, Qoz and Barchan dunes, water features (various wadi types, wells, rain pools, rain ponds, waterholes, Govt water bores etc). Local human geographical features include tribal names, villages (temporary, deserted), Chief's Court, Cemeteries, Domed tombs, Pyramids, mosques, cattle enclosures etc. Other features include wireless stations, landing grounds, forts, rest-houses, battlefields, churches, rail, roads, car ferries, unsurveyed areas etc. With occasional geographical notes.…
