Covers are clean with light rubbing at outer corners and on spine (along edges, crown and foot). Dust jacket is lightly toned with chipping at corners and mild wear along edges, clear tape around crown and foot of spine. DJ is wrapped in a protective mylar cover. Binding is tight and secure. Pages are clean and crisp with uniform toning. Speckled red page edges. Printed in B&W. 371 pages. Title page dated 1946. Copyright page dated 1946. Front free endpaper has golden paste-down which states, "In Appreciation of the important role you have played in the development of the American Broadcasting System, KMBC of Kansas City present you with this First Edition copy--numbered 19--a documentary record of the industry's first quarter-century." Directly below this in dark blue ink is the author's signature. Previous owner's name (Chris Sterling) written in top corner of this same page. A very nice copy. This volume comes from the Broadcasting collection of Prof. Chris Sterling. Sterling was a professor of media and public affairs at George Washington University and an avid book collector.
