Bump to the head of the spine and a small soil mark to the front card cover. Slight/light reading creases to the rear card cover. There is a little foxing to the fore edges and to the margins of several pages. Neat biro name and date inscription to the head of the front end paper. One sentence has been marked through in black biro on pp XVII. Otherwise a tight good copy.

A discussion of the Bumiputra Malaysia Finance Loans Scandal, authored by Lim Kit Siang, then Leader of the Opposition. A sprawling and confusing affair, possibly involving high-level corruption in Malaysia and risky financial speculation in Hong Kong, only further muddled by the real-life murder mystery of a BMF Regional Manager. At the time, it was believed that the crisis could either unseat Mahathir Mohamad or force him to call an early election, however, neither scenario eventuated, and the scandal has since been largely relegated to a historical footnote.
