Buch. Condition: Neu. Neuware - 'The Belt' is a hard-hitting social-protest play that explores the dehumanizing impact of the modern industrial assembly line on the individual worker. Set against the backdrop of a massive automobile factory, the drama focuses on the physical and psychological toll of mechanized labor, where the relentless speed of the 'belt' dictates the rhythm of human life. Paul Sifton captures the tension between capital and labor during the height of the 1920s industrial boom, portraying the struggle of workers who find themselves treated as mere cogs in a vast machine.

William Siegel front cover illustration intact. A New Playwrights' Theatre Production. Proletarian play about speed-ups on the factory assembly line.
