The author withdrew the copies of the very first printing because of the textual errors accidentally included.… It was rumoured to be the uncorrected text that was sent out as a proof. Presumably there were a few heads that rolled at the publishers! This copy has been read and maybe placed on a sunny shelf by somebody who simply didn't care. The top and leading edges of the text block are a touch sunned and there is a bit of a lean that indicates it has been read. No names other than the author; and this is on the special tipped in limitation page. When all is said and done this is undoubtedly one of the rare copies, and it is a brilliant read.
