Cartoné. Condition: Cubiertas deslucidas. Portada, 384 p. - Conserva sobrecubierta. - Etiqueta de anterior vendedor en guarda delantera. - Firma de anterior propietario en portadilla. - Contenido: The book traces the development of sociology in the Soviet Union from its roots in Tsarist times to its difficult institutionalization under the communist regime. Simirenko examines how Marxist-Leninist ideology deeply shaped and constrained the evolution of Soviet sociology. He analyzes the tensions between scientific inquiry and political dogma, especially during the Stalinist period. The book also explores efforts to rehabilitate the discipline in the post-Stalin era. It offers comparisons with Western sociology and discusses the field's future prospects within the Soviet context.
