The first edition of this scarce work.Written in French.This work features a response from Simon Canuel to a pamphlet produced in 1817 by Charles Nicolas Fabvier entitled 'Lyon'. Canuel was a French general during the French revolution and Napoleonic wars. Fabvier was French member of parliament and Chief of staff after Napoleon's death, and was in charge of calming the riots in Lyon caused by Canuel's harsh conduct. Canuel was later suspended from the military. This work addresses and defends his actions and provides a response to Fabvier's pamphlet on the matter.Disbound from the original covers.
