Newspaper. 24p., folded tabloid underground newspaper, news, opinion, reports, actions, psychedelia, ads, illustrations, comix, photos, lightly worn and toned, else very good condition on newsprint of various colors (pink, yellow etc.). Originally San Francisco Express Times. Cover stories on Sky River Commune and Berkeley Education and Activism. Also inside a George Jackson interview.

Scottish Artist Henry Jackson Simpson Pencil Signed Etching, "Somme Hayboat"

No Binding. Condition: Good. This soft-ground etching is typical of Simpson's output documenting scenes in rural Scotland. It is titled and signed in graphite in the lower margin: "Somme Hayboat Jackson Simpson". There is also an initialled blindstamp: "JS". Henry Jackson Simpson (1893-1963) was born in Aberdeen and studied at Gray's School of Art. He painted and etched Scottish landscapes and hunting and fishing subjects. Platemark size: 4 3/4" x 7 1/2". Printed on a 9" x 11" sheet of wove paper. Condition: Lightly toned at mat window, hinging tape on verso. Generally good condition. Signed by Illustrator(s).
