The Dust Jacket Is A Little Chipped At The Edges/Corners, And Is Price Clipped, Else, Quite Presentable In A New (Removable) Protective Sleeve. [Front (inside) Flap] This is a book by a very skilful fisherman, who loves fishing more than catching fish. Although in his time Mr. Sinclair Carr has killed many a salmon and trout, his pleasure here remembered lie in the practice of the art, in experiencing slowly acquired, in the friendship of fishing 'characters' - and even in occasional failures. For he is a modest and truthful angler; and he has another rare gift, that of unemphatic, rather Northern humour, as readers of 'Salfario's' articles know. This book may prove dangerous to the families of anglers, for it will be apt to release a sympathetic flow of reminiscence - perhaps not always quite so entertaining as Mr. Carr's The illustrations and cover-design are the workj of Roy Beddington". Roy Beddington (illustrator).
