Two-inch break at head of joints front and back. Marvelous portraits of soldiers from Indian, Canadian, Australian, South African, and Scottish regiments rallied to join the fight in 1914. Camels, horses, and humans were the motive power except for one photo of a review by the Queen in a motor car. Four well-illustrated articles, each about 30 pp. in length. George Newnes was well-known as publisher of Strand and Wide World Magazines. No writing or marking. Condition delicate, but NOT falling apart. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Book.
