With a note from the author 'To Beryl, with much love from Zoe (Sitadevi) by the upper edge of the page describing this first edition with the number (103) and Sitadevi's signature. Cloth-backed white card covers in pictorial dust-wrapper which is lightly edge-worn with some foxing. From the rear cover 'This is a magical story. It is about a cat and a boy and a family in the Australian bush. But it is a magical cat and a magical boy and a magical country. The cat comes from beyond time and teaches the boy to discover the hidden mystery of his own soul and of the land on which he lives. We all live in two worlds. The story and later mandala pictures are out of a dream inspired by her meeting with Bede Griffiths, the major exponent of Christian-Hindu dialogue of the last century.
