Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was employed to analyze the surface topography of the uninhibited and inhibited mild steel. The inhibition efficiency of the inhibiting compound increases with increase in inhibitor concentration at 303K, resulting in significant decrease in corrosion rate of the mild steel. Thermodynamic adsorption and activation parameters were calculated for the corrosion inhibition process adsorption of 5-Chloroisatin derivatives on the steel obeyed the Langmuir adsorption model. …

Ce dernier a été parfaitement caractérisé par RMN 1H et 31P. Sa concentration micellaire critique a été déterminée dans l'eau par conductimétrie et évaluée à 2,4.10-2 M. Après avoir rappelé quelques généralités sur la polymérisation en émulsion. Nous avons pu mettre en évidence les propriétés émulsifiantes de notre TA MP11. Après l'étude de sa vitesse de polymérisation nous l'avons copolymérisé avec du styrène en émulsion. A l'aide de la RMN 31P et microscopie MEB, nous avons montré l'incorporation effective du MP11 respectivement dans la structure du polymère et sur la surface des particules. Enfin, nous avons montré que l'utilisation du MP11 à 2 % en masse permet l'obtention d'un latex avec un diamètre de particules de l'ordre de 53 nm. Valeur tout à fait comparable à celles obtenues dans des cas similaires. …
