    Soft cover. Condition: Good. First Edition. 1903. First edition. [viii], 112pp., 8 black and white plans and illustrations, and a 4 page catalogue at the end of the book. The author of this little book is not stated but it is believed to be Adam Smail. The object has been to shed, from contemporary sources, some side lights on the tragic episode in Scottish history known as the "Forty-five." The book is bound in the original red paper wraps with black titling on the spine, black titling with an illustration on the front cover and advertisements on the reart cover. The book is in good to very good condition with shelf wear and some soiling on the covers and fading to the spine. The edges of the covers are creased with small tears and pieces are missing from the bottom front corner and bottom front edge. There is damage with a small bit of loss to the paper covering the spine ends. The contents are secure and clean with some scattered but mostly light foxing, including a few marks on the title-page. The fore edge of the text block is foxed and on some pages this has seeped a little way into the fore margin. There is no inscription.…
