Add to basketCondition: Good. No Jacket. 1st edition, 1907. Book size - 7.5 x 5.25 inches, pp. frontis + x + 148 + 7 b&w plates, hardback in publisher' s cloth. Book condition - Good ; school bookplate inside the front board - dated Dec. 9th 1907 and awarded to Avis Jones- , off-setting/tanning to the second fly-leaf, frontis and title page with some marks and staining, bulk of textblock generally clean though with some light soiling and the odd mark here and there, and then the last few pages with some edge staining and the final page very dusty, lacks the rear fly-leaf, inscription on the verso of the half-title, loosely inserted is a small oblong of paper on which is written in ink "Avis Augusta Jones, Born 1st June 1896", inner hinges show splitting but the binding is secure ; publisher's blue cloth with black, red and whitle illustration to the spine and front board ; fore-edge corner are a bit bent and show some rubbing, boards' edges good, back has clean appearance with some light marks and spotting, back and front hinge intact with slight loss at the ends, spine complete with ends rubbed and split, the title is clear but the author's name and the illustration are quite rubbed with some some loss of colour, , front shows light surface rubbing but the title and illustration complete and bright. No dustjacket. Please see photos for indications of condition and contents. A sound copy of the scarce first edition complete with all plates.
