Smith. Philip Dodd Smith (1905-1976), renowned Mountaineer. Illustrator Rodney H. Smith was one of his sons. Beginning as one of the first seasonal rangers in 1929 at the then new Grand Teton National Park, Smith had a lengthy and distinguished career with the NPS.
