Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good+. Hardcover; Hardcover in dust jacket. Red cloth boards with illustration on front board and title on spine. Light soil and edge wear. Endpapers tanned. Text pages are clean, light tanning. Red photo illustrated dust jacket is chipped at corners and spine ends. One inch chip missing from upper left edge, partly obscuring the J and A in the word Jackie. Rubbing, light soil, a few short tears. Looks good in new protective mylar. In the photo-illustrated dust jacket featuring Robinson on front panel. Price of $2.00 intact on front flap. Mild sunning to spine. Published the year after Jack Roosevelt Robinson broke the Major League Baseball color barrier. A well preserved copy with dust jacket now housed in a clear, removable archival protector.
